“Cleanliness is next to Godliness” goes the popular adage. Keeping it in mind, the Primary Compartment organized a workshop on Communicable Diseases for the students of class V on 17 October, 2019. The resource persons Dr. Malar and Dr. Krishna Veni dealt with the specific points as to how diseases spread from person to person and how they are caused by germs. She brought to the fore the current rapid widespread of dengue fever. The students were acquainted with the fact that good personal hygiene is important for both health and social reasons. They were also made aware of the social benefits associated with personal habits that must be considered in order to avoid diseases.
