The School
Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School established in 1986 is affiliated to the State Board. The school has classes from LKG to XII. The school is named after Smt. Velammal, a simple and dignified lady, the revered mother of the principled chairman, Shri. M. V .Muthuramalingam. The school is governed by Shri. M.V.M. Velmurugan, the CEO, Shri. M. V. M. Velmohan, the Correspondent and Shri. M. V. M. Sasikumar, the Director. The school nurtures in potency with every passing year. As the facilities, infrastructure and expertise of the child grow, the children are equipped with interpersonal skills to meet the challenges in their practical life. The management has been persistently endeavoring to provide the students the latest facilities and the teaching methods , the best strategies for students’ development. CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
Change is a simple word with a difficult meaning.
What started as a ‘pure business’ with 30 odd students on a 60 x 40 feet plot in Mogappair East in 1986, slowly turned into a social responsibility. Now it is like charity at a time when everybody is commercializing education. I am chasing a goal, shaping destinies in classrooms to improve the quality of education and enhancing the overall development of every individual. Everyone is happy to enter the premises of Velammal. When I see a student, I see him / her filled with an abundance of great potential. I believe if a child does not fare well in academics, he / she surely has some other potential. It is our duty to discover that talent and mould every child into an achiever. Besides academics, sports, extra curricular activities, vocational skills are also given equal importance in my institutions.
Success and failure may come and go. The essence of living is to remain motivated.
Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly! So, stay motivated! Stay driven!
